Mooney Mooney Twin Bridges into Upper Reaches & Return

Disappear into the Brisbane Water National Park on this wonderful waterway.

Often viewed only from speeding cars and the dizzying heights of the bridge span which arches across the upper end of the valley. This tour is nestled down in a valley which quickly takes you away into an area which is close to civilization yet so absolutely far away.

View stunningly coloured Azure Kingfishers splashing into the water beside the mangroves with Whistling Kites and Sea Eagles soaring above, looking for lunch in the pools below. Paddle up tributaries and side creeks where tree ferns and the closed canopy of the forest provide you with the breathtaking smell of Eucalypts like the Sydney Peppermint and Blue Gum. Watch these giants as they stand like sentinels draped in shrouds of shredded bark in testimony to nature's wonderful handy work.

Feel the cool moss and have a dip in clean clear fresh water at the head of the streams. Today is a day to feel, to experience and to drift. After lunch, paddle slowly back to the put in location with no real hurry to end the day.

What to Bring

• A Water Bottle, one litre in size.
• Camera (we do have disposable cameras for sale)
• Swim Suit & Towel & a change of clothes in case you get wet
• Sun Hat and Sunscreen & Clothing to protect you from the sun
• Sun Glasses
• Footwear - suitable to get wet
• A jumper in the cooler months

Weather

In most cases, rain does not present a problem. If in doubt, please call the office as early as you like on the morning of the tour. We reserve the right to alter the tour locations or lengths if safety or comfort issues dictate.

A minimum number of six adults are required, in most cases, for the tour to proceed and Ocean Planet reserves all rights to cancel or reschedule the activity if numbers do not meet the minimum requirements. The minimum age for participants is 7 years.
